Send your Blender camera and tracked objects straight into DaVinci Resolve's Fusion page as a native .comp — animation baked, the 3D scene lined up, nothing to re-track. BlendFusion Pro also does one-click screen replacement: your content lands on a phone or monitor screen, tracked and matted to the real glass shape.
Your download, BlendFusion-Pro-v0.2.1.zip, is a folder of files. Unzip it. Inside are two add-on zips, a license and a quick-start sheet.
Blender 4.2 or newer: Edit → Preferences → Get Extensions → the ▾ dropdown → Install from Disk… → pick blendfusion-pro-0.2.1-extension.zip.
Blender 3.6 – 4.1: Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → Install… → pick blendfusion-pro-0.2.1.zip → tick its checkbox.
Don't unzip the add-on zip itself — Blender installs it as a zip.
In the 3D viewport press N for the sidebar → the Fusion tab.
Select the screen object → in the Fusion panel set its role to Screen Replacement → pick its Plate (your image or video).
Point Back Plate at your rendered footage (the first frame) — the shot your screen sits on.
Click Set Up Matte Pass, then Render → Render Animation. When the render finishes, the scene puts itself back and the Matte field fills in on its own.
Click Export to Fusion and save the .comp. (Also under File → Export → Fusion Composition (.comp).)
Resolve → Fusion page → File → Import → Fusion Composition… → choose the .comp. Your content is already on the glass, tracked and composited over your footage.
Only need the camera? Skip steps 1–3: animate your camera, click Export to Fusion, import the .comp. Swap the plate any time later — everything else stays wired.
The questions people actually hit. Tap one to open it.
Unzip the download first, then install one of the two add-on zips inside — without unzipping it. Blender 4.2 or newer takes …-extension.zip (Get Extensions → Install from Disk). Blender 3.6 – 4.1 takes the other one (Add-ons → Install, then tick the checkbox).
Install failed, or nothing appeared? Check you didn't pick the outer download zip. That one holds the add-ons; it isn't one itself.
Hover over the 3D viewport and press N. The tabs run down the right edge of the sidebar. No Fusion tab there means the add-on is installed but switched off. Tick its checkbox in Edit → Preferences → Add-ons (search "BlendFusion").
You also have the older free version installed. Pro is BlendFusion, upgraded. Disable (or remove) the free one in Preferences and keep Pro.
The matte is filled in when the render finishes. After Set Up Matte Pass, run Render → Render Animation (not a single frame) and let it complete. If you cancel, the scene is restored but no matte is made. Run it again.
Wherever you saved it in the Export dialog. It's a single .comp file. Export again and note the folder if you've lost it.
Go to the Fusion page, then File → Import → Fusion Composition… and choose your .comp. It's a Fusion composition, so it opens on the Fusion page, not the Edit page's media pool.
Blender 3.6 or newer and DaVinci Resolve 18 or newer. Version 0.2.1 is checked installing and exporting in Blender 5.2 through both install routes.
