A drifting field in your colors — circles, rectangles, or triangles, as many or as few as you want, at the speed you set. Render a clean loop at true 16:9, 9:16, or a 1920×1920 square master you can crop anywhere.

Flip a switch and the shapes go dimensional. The three flat shapes become three solid, gently tumbling 3D objects — a cube, a node-geodesic (a rotating web of nodes and connections, for a data / network feel), and a pyramid. Same palette, same drift, same export — just dimensional. They drop into an edit as real comp elements, not flat clip-art.
Toggle 2D ⇄ 3D in the Shape menu inside the tool.
Switch Shapes → Gradient at the top of the toolbar and the shapes step aside: you get a 2, 3 or 4-color gradient built from the same four color pickers (Color 1 is the old BG). One Movement dial — 0 is a still gradient; anything above it drifts gently and returns to its exact start every loop, so it loops at any length you set. The Harmony wheel, the palettes and Randomize all work here too.
Want a gradient under the shapes instead? Stay in Shapes and set Canvas → Plate to 2-color: a still gradient from BG to a second color, at the angle you pick.
Exports add a fine, fixed grain and encode at constant quality, so smooth gradients don't band into stripes. Mattes and transparent export are for shapes — a gradient has nothing to cut, so they're greyed out in Gradient mode.
Background is made to composite. Export a clean loop, a transparent (alpha) video to lay over your footage, or a luma / depth matte for DaVinci Resolve — key it cleanly, or feed the depth map into Fusion for 3D-feel parallax and depth-of-field. The pieces you build here are meant to drop onto your timeline.
