Release — get your release forms signed on set

Release — the media release form, signed on a phone.

Release collects signed appearance and media releases at your shoot. Paste your own release wording, publish a QR code and link, and anyone signs on their phone in seconds — a flat PDF of each signed copy lands in your inbox. You bring the wording; we just make it painless to sign. One form is free.

Free · one sign-in · no watermark · runs in your browser

You supply and are responsible for your release language. Starting Frame is a signing tool, not a law firm.

What it does.

Your wording, your form

Paste your own release language, clause by clause, add your logo, and set the agreement checkbox. Starting Frame never writes or reviews the legal text — the form says exactly what you wrote.

Sign on any phone, no app

Share a QR code or a link. The signer reads it, types their name, finger-signs on the screen, checks the box, and they're done — no account, no download, works on venue wifi.

A signed PDF, in your inbox

Every signature becomes a flat PDF — your logo, your clauses, the signature, and a neutral record line (time, date, document ID) — emailed to you the moment it's signed. Download any copy from your dashboard.

One form free; more with membership

Run one release form free, forever. A Starting Frame membership adds unlimited forms and delivery straight to your own Dropbox.

Questions.

Is the media release form free?

Yes — one active form is free with a Starting Frame account, and signing is always free for the people you send it to. A membership adds unlimited forms and cloud delivery.

Does Starting Frame provide the release wording?

No. You paste your own release language and you're responsible for it — Starting Frame is a signing tool, not a law firm, and we don't draft or review legal text. Your form says exactly what you write.

How do people sign?

You share a QR code or link. The signer opens it on any phone, reads your release, types their name, finger-signs on the screen, and checks your agreement box. No app, no account.

What do I get back?

A flat PDF of each signed copy — your logo and clauses, the signature, and a neutral record line (a timestamp and a document ID) — emailed to you and downloadable from your dashboard.

Where does the signed release go?

To your inbox by email, and downloadable from your dashboard. With a membership you can also have each signed PDF delivered straight into your own Dropbox — your files stay yours.

Is an e-signature from Release legally valid?

Release captures a signature with a timestamp and document-ID record, which many productions treat as a valid e-signature. Whether it meets your needs is your call — we're a signing tool, not legal advice. For high-stakes releases, check with your own counsel.
