QUICKEST WAY IN — the Asset Browser
────────────────────────────────────────────
1. Edit > Preferences > File Paths > Asset Libraries > +
2. Point it at the folder this file is in.
3. In Blender, switch any editor to Asset Browser and pick your new library.
You'll see seven bowls under Starting Frame > Wood.
4. Drag one onto an object. Done.

Prefer not to set that up?
   File > Append > SF_Wood_FREE_v1.blend > Material > pick one.

CHANGING IT — this is the point
────────────────────────────────────────────
Select the object, open the Shading tab, click the SF_Wood group node.
Everything is a slider:

Ring Scale ....... how tight the growth rings are
Ring Contrast .... how hard the rings read
Pith Offset ...... moves the centre of the log; changes how rings curve
Log Stretch ...... stretches rings along the trunk
Knot Amount ...... how many knots (0 = none)
Knot Size/Depth .. how big, and how much they bend the grain around them
Fibre Stretch .... the fine grain running along the wood
  Scale ............ overall texture size
  Bump Strength .... surface relief

Start from Walnut and push Ring Scale and Knot Amount. That's the fastest
way to see what it does.

WHY IT LOOKS RIGHT
────────────────────────────────────────────
This isn't a texture wrapped around the outside. It's a solid volume — so a
cube cut from it shows END GRAIN on the two cut faces and LONG GRAIN on the
four sides, the way real timber behaves. Rotate an object inside the material
and the grain stays consistent, because it goes all the way through.
